In this post we’ll take a look at the Boost Powerups in Beach Buggy Racing 2. Every racer likes to go fast, and Boosts are all about giving you that extra burst of speed when you need it to pull ahead of your competition. Not all boosts are created the same, though, and each has a special strategy for when and where to use it. Read on!
Common
The most basic Boost Powerup, Boost Juice adds to your car’s top speed and increases acceleration. It’s a great way to get back in the fray after recovering from a crash, or press the advantage when you’re in the lead. You’ll be totally vulnerable and if you crash early the remaining Boost Juice will be wasted, so it’s a good idea to pair this with a Defense Powerup if possible.
Rare
For a few seconds you can plow through anything and instead of slowing down, you’ll get a speed boost! You’ll still be vulnerable to explosions, fire, confusion, etc., so be careful what you smash. Losing makes the Bull even angrier, so you’ll get Stampede Speed if there’s a car ahead within Stampede Distance.
Victim Tip: When you hear the Bull bellow, get to the side of the track and hope that passing you is more appealing than crashing you!
Epic
The benefit of teleporting meters ahead instantly is pretty obvious, but this Powerup is also great for last-second recoveries as it Warps you right to the center of the track. As with any Boost Powerup corners can present some difficulty, so be prepared to turn just after activating it. For best results, use Warp Speed on a shortcut to gain even more ground on the competition.
Epic
Whether you’re getting back up to speed after crashing, sailing over an abyss to get back to the track, or yanking a Ball ‘n’ Chain behind you, the instant speed you gain from Rocket Boost is almost always helpful. It shoots you straight ahead, so be mindful of the direction the car is facing.
Epic
Police Chase is like having Boost Juice and Shield in one Powerup. In addition to the speed boost, it’ll block anything the Shield blocks and let you smash through debris without slowing down. You’ll still be vulnerable to explosions, fire, confusion, etc., so be careful what you smash.
